Dating Web Cam Aversion

So there was this guy I had been talking to for about two weeks and had gone on two dates with. (This is the same guy who lied about his job status and income, let's just say I made a lot of mistakes with him.) While checking my email one evening, he pinged me on instant messenger. We did the usual hello and how was your day when he quickly changed the subject. "Do you want to view my web cam?" he asked me. Still green about this whole online dating thing, I said, "Sure." No one had ever asked me to view their web cam before this point.

Big mistake...or small one(!)

I can honestly say that in all of my life nothing has ever really shocked me or made my mouth drop wide open, but on this particular night, both happened.

Here I am thinking he was simply going to look in his camera and talk to me, but instead I was given a birds eye view of his crotch. Pants down, the family jewels in hand. And unfortunately for him, his hand was much bigger than his...

Within seconds my phone was ringing, his number coming up on the caller ID.

I answer, "Um, yeah, so, what the hell?"

In his attempt at a sexy voice, "Do you like my little web show?" (I snicker when he says little.)

Needless to say, I felt entirely awkward, because sure, at the time, I liked this guy, but wow I quickly found out that he was like a rabbit on Viagra when it came to his web cam obsession. Unfortunately for me, I allowed this to go on one too many times without saying something to him. Had we been dating for a while I wouldn't have been so adverse to it, but it had only been two dates and the signal he was sending was pretty clear--he didn't really want a relationship with me, just someone to fill a sexual void. (Thank God I was smart enough not to sleep with him though!)

Now going forward, anytime a guy I am dating asks me if I want to view his web cam, I simply say, "Nah, I'm good."
