My dear friends, I think it is quite genius that online dating sites have inserted the trick question, "How much do you drink" into their profile questionnaires. Your choices are simply: I don't drink, I drink socially, I drink moderately and I drink daily. Now, any smart person...rather, any person with at least 2 brain cells left knows it is wise to avoid the last two options. Yet time and again, I come across dating profiles where the guy wants to make it clear that he is a raging alcoholic. (Or at least someone I like to coin as "The Bar Stool.")Personally, for my own profile, I always choose "I drink socially" when, in fact, I don't drink at all. I know, right? You don't believe me.
I have to wonder though, how many women contact these men (and vice versa) saying, "You drink daily? Me too!" That would creep me out. But I guess, if a positive can be found in this, it's that at least the guy is being honest.
But I still wouldn't date him.

It's pretty amazing how many people drink daily (e.g., glass of wine, or a can of beer after work/with din). I avoid these dudes too.

I like to make sure the pictures that go with my blog posts are funny, so I just type in variations of the content keywords. I was tempted to take pictures from the profiles I've come across on Match, but was afraid of getting sued. LOL.
